1979 proved to be a difficult year for me. There was soooo much stuff I listened to that year, but a lot has not stood the test of time.

I tossed a coin on Billy Thorpe & Molly Hatchet. I know, Thorpe is a strange choice for me, but that album is really good. I just got done listening to it.

@TACdtf I see you chose Night in the Ruts for 1979. Aerosmith is my favorite band, but they began loosing me after Draw the Line, but I have all their albums.

@TACdtf I see you chose Night in the Ruts for 1979. Aerosmith is my favorite band, but they began loosing me after Draw the Line, but I have all their albums.
Night In The Ruts is by far my favorite Aerosmith album. First off, it's easily their heaviest album. There's just something...ferocious about it. It's really loose and it just oozes cool. IMO of course. The instrumental part in Think About It crushes me every time.

In fact, in an interview, Neil Carter cites Chiquita as the impetus for what UFO was going for on Mechanix, specifically on The Writer.

After that, my next favorite album is probably Done With Mirrors and/or Rocks. I'm also "that guy" that loves Rock In A Hard Place.
