It’s going to take me a while to catch up to you guys!

1966
This is the year my music collection begins to grow. Makes it harder to choose absolute favorites.
Cream ~ Fresh Cream
The Animals ~ Animalism
Beach Boys ~ Pet Sounds
Simon & Garfunkel ~ Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme
John Mayall & Eric Clapton ~ Blues Breakers

1967
The Doors ~ The Doors
Traffic ~ Mr. Fantasy
Pink Floyd ~ Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Cream ~ Disraeli Gears
Moody Blues ~ Days of Future Passed

1968
Jimi Hendrix ~ Electric Ladyland
The Zombies ~ Odessey and Oracle
The Band ~ Music From Big Pink
Steppenwolf ~ Steppenwolf
Iron Butterfly ~ In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

1969
Led Zeppelin ~ Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin ~ Led Zeppelin II
The Who ~ Tommy
Creedence Clearwater Revival ~ Green River & Bayou Country
Santana ~ Santana

My collection at this point has begun to get very large in size, making it really hard to choose just 5…..hence both CCR albums.

It hurts to leave some off.
Yes it does. I tossed back and forth with Pink Floyd ~ Ummagumma or The Who ~ Tommy….after listening to both, I chose Tommy.

1970
Black Sabbath ~ Paranoid
Black Sabbath ~ Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin ~ Led Zeppelin III
Creedence Clearwater Revival ~ Cosmos Factory
James Taylor ~ Sweet Baby James

1971
Led Zeppelin ~ Led Zeppelin IV
The Who - Who’s Next
Traffic ~ Low Spark of High Heeled Boys
The Allman Brother’s ~ At Fillmore East
Janis Joplin ~ Pearl

Dang! This was a really hard year to pick just 5. I shuffled them up a bunch of times….decided to give a nod to Janis’s best, IMO.

I’m only up to 1973, and choosing just 5 has been difficult. It’s gonna get harder once I get to the late 70’s through the mid ‘80’s….with NWOBHM bands.

1973
Pink Floyd ~ Dark Side of the Moon
Led Zeppelin. ~ Houses of the Holy
Lynyrd Skynyrd ~ Pronounced
Z Z Top ~ Tres Hombres
Aerosmith ~ Aerosmith

1974
Bachman-Turner Overdrive ~ Not Fragile
Deep Purple ~ Burn
Lynyrd Skynyrd ~ Second Helping
Bad Company ~ Bad Company
Aerosmith ~ Get Your Wings

(1974 was tough! Had to omit a Deep Purple, Supertramp, Eric Clapton, Queen, Steely Dan, Blue Oyster Cult, Robin Trower…..SMH)

1975
Ted Nugent ~ Ted Nugent
Led Zeppelin ~ Physical Graffiti
Aerosmith ~ Toys in the Attic
Black Sabbath ~ Sabotage
Rainbow ~ Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow

It was tough to leave Get Your Wings off of my '74 list. Toys was easy though. lol
