The only two I could come up with from 1963 are Please Please Me and With The Beatles.

That's about it.:uh: Those are the only two I could find as well. It was still a singles oriented market back then.

Released only two days before I was born, Surfer Rosa may even be my favorite album of the 80s, let alone 1988. Might have some competition from earlier albums by Metallica & Slayer.... but whatever the case, definitely one of the best and most influential indie rock albums of all-time.

Also Bob Dylan's classic The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan! :D

Slim pickin's from my birth year, the price you pay for being ancient I guess...so I'll just watch and pick some faves from all you youngsters posts.

From Riff's,,,,it's a tough call lot's of quality albums but Midnight Oil's fantastic "Diesel & Dust" would be my pick of the litter.:grinthumb

Doom from the cursed North
In no order:

"Sad Wings Of Destiny" by Judas Priest
"Destroyer" Kiss
"Rainbow Rising" by Rainbow
"Rocks" Aerosmith
"2112" Rush
"Jailbreak" Thin Lizzy

Shame 1976 was a crap year for Zeppelin releases as "Presence" is weak and I don't particularly enjoy live albums.
