Oh dear that site only goes back to 1950 so as a 49er there's not a lot I can contribute :wa

1949 was barely the dawn of the lp era, so in fairness maybe you should select your favorite song of that year?

I was born in 1961, a low point for rock. Bo Diddley is a Lover and Chuck Berry's New Jukebox Hits are good ones but thank goodness for the British Invasion a few years later! I listen to jazz and can turn to those for '61, such as John Coltrane's Africa/Brass and My Favorite Things, Booker Little's Out Front, Charles Mingus' Oh Yeah and Ornette Coleman's Ornette.

I was definitely born in the wrong era! I don't have much to work with when it comes to this topic. 2002, lotta good music, right? Exactly! The only one that I like is 3 Doors Down - Away From The Sun.

It's your year, not mine, but these are albums I like from 2002.
The Breeders - Title TK
Spoon - Kill The Moonlight
Sleater-Kinney - One Beat
Beck - Sea Change

Apparently I didn't see the 's' at the end of 'album' in the thread title:

Buffalo Springfield Again - Buffalo Springfield
Born Under a Bad Sign - Albert King
A Hard Road - John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers
Absolutely Free - The Mothers of Invention
Stand Back! - Charley Musselwhite
Are You Experienced? - Jimi Hendrix Experience
Forever Changes - Love
Procol Harum - Procol Harum - Yo, it's got Whiter Shade of Pale on it!!

1967 was a pretty good year for music. Many excellent debut albums including a couple on my list. However, John Coltrane died in 1967 so there was that.
