I think Rush fits this category...The music might not be consistent, but putting out great albums/music is consistent. They are still truckin today...

Only one notable lineup change throughout the many years...

I agree fielding, and also believe that Rush has been extremely consistent with great albums over many years, and continues to both write and perform songs/music that they enjoy, as well as their many fans, too! :grinthumb

It's great to see all of the different, cool and great bands that everyone is posting! :cheers2

Here's another long time, awesome and also favorite band I'll add next.

From their first album and also spanning most of the decade of the 1970's as well as beyond, they produced excellent, consistent pearlers, imo!

Not that I am a great fan, but Golden Earring has been intact for over 50 years.

The Rolling Stones are the ones I think about for consistant quality over the past few centuries. :grinthumb

For me, Deep Purple.

Some would argue, & I'm not counting mach 1 w/ Evans & Simper, either.
Not that it was bad stuff...it was perfectly alright for it's time.

However, mach 2 was one of the greatest bands ever to walk the earth.

The Coverdale/Hughes era was also FANTASTIC, & I include the Bolin record as well.

The comeback albums were strong, & I enjoy the Morse era very much, too.

The Joe Lynn Turner record was a miss, though, for me anyway.
But, as I liked Rainbow w/ him on vocals, I cannot rate it as a bad release.

Deep Purple rules through & through.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band has been pretty consistent since the 70's. Bob didn't fair too well until he had The Silver Bullet Band, which began with songs off of Beautiful Loser album.

Dont know if many of you have checked out his last album of 2006 Face the Promise. It is as consistent as his first works :grinthumb
