Nickelback, How Do You Feel Honestly

Greetings Rockers!
So I remember when Nickelback first came out, and they were pretty decent. The later years, were so-so. But I had no idea they were so hated. I'm not quite getting it either. No once can say why they don't like them, they just seem be going with the majority.

I still think they are okay. They aren't the greatest band, but far from being the worst.

Funny how Tom Petty predicted it...

I mean Nickelback is awful, but talentless Swift is supposedly so awesome.

I have always liked Nickelback. Never cared what others thought. I also feel they are an above average band.

I place Nickelback in the same category as Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, 3 Doors Down, Creed, Linkin Park, Staind…..the fairly new breed of rock. Catchy hooks, great vocals, decent musicians. I like them all!

How can you not like this smoker…

If you wanna know how full circle I've come. I used to hate them (musically only) and now I have 3 albums. lol

I had a legitimate reason to not like them though. Their music just never did anything for me when I was younger. These days they started to grow on me much like a lot of artists I used to hate ie Slipknot, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Pink Floyd to name some examples. I enjoy several of their albums now.

Honestly?? Seriously never HATED this band. The shift in rock music at their time was Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Seether sorta stuff along with Korn and that sorta vibe.

Nickleback had some great lyrical songs that I liked and still do. Havn't heard much newer stuff from them but being a canadian band that's where I seen most of the Canadian fans passing out that hate free of charge. :stfu:

They're okay. I don't understand the mass hatred. There are far worse bands from their era.

You mention Swift. Can't stand her. She has capitalized on what makes money, which is speaking about past relationships en masse, picturing herself out to always be the good person in the relationship when she's far from it, and all of this is very impressionable on young girls. She knows what she's doing, her father being a big-shot businessman. She makes money from mediocrity, that's for sure, but look at all the people that lap this stuff up.

Whatever sells.

I remember getting the The Long Road album for Easter (I think it, was in my Easter basket). Then they did the theme for Spider-Man back in the early 2000's.

I will always love, How You Remind Me.

P.S. Taylor Swift makes me envy, both the deaf and blind. She's just that awful.

It’s amusing how our music tastes change over time. I was listening to Nickelback before I got into heavy metal. I Loved Nickelback & Creed….two bands who get a lot of hate. I rarely listen to them now, but I still like them.

I could preach all day why Taylor Swift is awful…beginning with concert ticket prices starting at $1000+ per ticket. That’s insane!

I'm glad I keep my music Taylor Swift free.. Haha!! I knew she was being pushed on the public when I would go to the grocery store and every trash magazine lined up

in the check out isle had Taylor Swift on the cover. And I though Kim Kardashian was a tabloid Hor..
