Miley's publicity stunt has worked - even getting a couple of threads to herself on this forum

Depends on what you consider good publicity. Before her video I really had no opinion on her period, like most short lived pop divas she will disappear without a trace soon enough, but after watching the video for the awards show I have nothing but contempt for her. Didn't affect me buying/listening to her music on any level, just led me to question her sanity.

What is it with so many young female pop stars that when they outgrow their teenybopper stage they have to go straight to 'pornographic/explicit' videos to tell the world they've grown up...:wtf:

Behind them is Disney/ABC. there is a mile long list of them. its like making a pact with the devil, the talent level really isnt all that high, they make a squeeky clean child image with Disney fabricated music etc. its a highly controlled environment which you have almost gaurenteed success. They can't break out of it especially when the sucess is uncertain.

actually i feel a bit bad for them cause they are totally dropped on their own and have to deal huge let downs.

oh and.......

Springsteen who ?

:heheh:
