@Cadleson, @recgord rockin' it with some good tunes. Catch Bull is a great lp
and Little Feat set the bar even higher with the Last Record Album.... kudos
on a great pair.

Capricorn's very own lovable rogues from '77, offering up a southern stew of
great jams and musicianship. Much like the 72-73 era Traffic, Bramlett on
sax(who played w/ Traffic on the '94 renunion tour-a top5 show for me) is
great along with some of C Leavell's best keys work; aided and abetted
by two Allmans, Jaimo and Lamar Williams on congas and bass.

Slightly dated (not the jams) it is maybe their best, the first lp not withstanding.
These cats are having a ball... this made some best lps of the year lists.

These guys put together a southern slobberknocker with this release, my favorite MT.
And the band was clocking in on their peak with this, only the second release.
Whenever I revisit A New Life, the music confirms itself as a 'special one'
in the 70's southern music canon.

So far very lacklustre. The mixing is terrible.,
