Strider had the talent, no doubt in that fact. They fell prey to poor management and internal band squabbles which ended the band. What a damn crying shame! Strider definitely could hold up beside Uriah Heep, Budgie, Blue Oyster Cult and yes, even Led Zeppelin.

Grainger, a founding member, went on to play with Rod Stewart beginning with “Foot Loose and Fancy Free” album and stayed with Rod for 10 years.

Brock, percussionist on “Misuderstood”, went on to The Babys and as Eddie Money’s backing drummer on the “No Control” album.

Exposed Album
This album is pretty decent with two cover songs that are stinkers, IMHO. “Higher and Higher” is a cover of a Jackie Wilson R & B song…it’s terrible! Then there is a cover of Rare Earth’s “Get Ready”, with an interesting hard rock twist that I found to be ghastly.

Misunderstood Album

This album had a new lead vocalist and new percussionist…which definitely made a big difference. This album is their shining beacon.
If you only listen to one of these albums, this should be the one, it’s excellent. Not a weak track on the whole album!

Misunderstood

Wing Tips ~. outstanding piano, synth track, and OOoo the guitar tone!

Fair play Magic these were long overdue a mention on these here boards. I have Misunderstood and play it often... Quite a few musicians were seconded elsewhere, Gary Grainger and Carmen Appice made a great pairing (as Mortske says:" ask me how I know")
Solid music that was hampered by slack management.
