Riot is one of my all time favorite bands. The stuff they're doing now as Riot V is tremendous and their new album is excellent.

My first exposure to Riot was hearing Showdown on the radio in 1982.

I have some Riot albums but I'm by no means fully versed in their catalog.

I know most people seem to love Thundersteel but I wasn't overly fond of the album for some reason. I have The Privilege of Power as well and Sons of Society.

But the album I happen to love the most is Inishmore. When it was reissued a few years back, I reviewed it for KNAC and really enjoyed it a lot.

I keep meaning to pick up some of the Riot V entitled albums but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I actually prefer The Privilege Of Power to Thundersteel, but I went and edited out all of the junk between songs.

Inishmore is fantastic, and is my favorite of the Mike DiMeo albums.
