Granmax ~ A Ninth Alive (1976)
USA hard Rock
Panama Records

Tim McCorkle | Bass, Vocals
Lewis McCorkle | Drums
Steve Meyers | Lead Guitar, Vocals

Granmax was from KC, Missouri (some sources say Nebraska). Either way, this album is truly a gem. Nothing fancy or groundbreaking, just enjoyable boogie style hard rock. Granmax was a trio for A Ninth Alive then became a 4 piece for their second album…..then disbanded. At one time they opened for Ted Nugent, Nazareth, and Pat Travers but never got noticed. :dunno:

hope this album gets your foot to tappin!

Just following up on Granmax.

Their second album, Kiss Heaven Goodbye (1978), is a nice dish of hard rock (and considered vary rare to find on vinyl). After the release of the debut, the band became a quartet. The addition of the vocalist, Nick aka Chaz, put Granmax up two or three notches higher on heaviness and an excellent band from the late ‘70’s. Too bad they were signed to a small independent record label, because with some promotion this band had the possibilities of being one of the best to come from the USA.

Members
Nick Christopher aka Chaz Nikias - vocals
Steve Myers - guitar
Tim McCorkle - bass
Louis McCorkle - Drums

Pick any song off the album…they are all smokers!
