Not a whole lot about Bastard online but I feel they were another one of those good bands that got lost through the cracks of the business. I do know they toured with AC/DC in Germany in 1978. For some unknown reason Teldec had new executives, and dropped the band.
Both albums are good. I’d rate both 3.5/5. Their music isn’t ground breaking, and very similar to other bluesy hard rock bands of the mid to late ‘70’s. What is note worthy, is how cohesive the band was. Great guitars, great vocals, great rhythm section, good song writing. It’s a shame they never got noticed and had a chance to thrive.
