Here's another song I've been trying to find since forever. Taped it off the (college) radio around 1984 or so, so it'd have to be before that. I'd describe the sound as post-punk, but not abrasive. Almost pop-y, but a little harsher, more drone / jangle, and sarcastic than regular top-40. I've tried searching for what I thought was the title "Material Possessions," but no luck. The chorus goes:
I want some more MATERIAL POSSESSIONS
I need some more MATERIAL POSSESSIONS
x4
Material Possessions... Material Possessions (this part has more reverb on the vocals)
Other lyrics are:
Money isn't everything, so they say
Well, what's your job, how much does it pay?
That's about all I can remember. Anyone know what this song is called and who it's by?
