What Are You Listening To? Redux (No Videos)

They are NOT clean vocals, but I find them more than tolerable. Kind of epic/a touch folky/but very groovy. I'll post a video in the other thread. I can't do that here, right?

    Motorhead (Official Thread)

I spun Bad Magic today, and it's a great album. Although the final track is a cover of Sympathy For The Devil, and while that is fitting, I have always thought how cool it was to have the final actual Motorhead track as When The Sky Comes Looking For You. What a great title for...

What Are You Listening to? (Videos only)

Posting two songs from the 2016 self titled debut album from Seven Sisters. How I would describe their sound is that if you crossed Def Leppard's On Though The Night with Iron Maiden's first album. If you like these, I'd highly recommend their 2021 album Shadow Of A Fallen Star.

Review Alice Cooper- Billion Dollar Babies (1973) ****

I consider the Original Alice Cooper Band the most underrated American Classic Rock band going. They never get the attention they deserve IMO. Not a huge B$B guy. Killer and School's Out are so much more intense and are two of my favorite albums of all time. I'd probably rate B$B in the middle...

Nice to meet you, I’m Sweet Chicanery ☺️

I'm a huge UFO fan, and overplayed doesn't just apply to Love To Love. It basically applies to their entire setlist over the last 15-20 years. I get that there's 3 or 4 songs that are always played, but it was the next level down songs that never got rotated out. SChenker actually just...

Rate The Song Above You Part III

Wow, that was really nice. What an outstanding mix on that. The sound was fantastic. Really enjoyable 5 minutes of music. Says it's a cover. Don't know the original, but this was excellent. 9/10

That's a great album cover with the empty stage and the drumset. Also, love the outline of the vinyl in the album cover!

    Snowy White (Official Thread)

Not a Floyd follower, so I was never really aware of how embedded he was with them, and Roger Waters later on, but I primarily know of Snowy through Thin Lizzy. I think the two albums he made with them are excellent, and I actually rate Renegade as my favorite TL album. Gonna check out that...

Review Aerosmith - Done With Mirrors (1985)

Regarding the interesting number of tracks discussion, we were still a few years away from making albums that were "CD length". There was nothing unusual about the number of tracks on DWM. It had a pretty standard album length. Master Of Puppets, which was pretty long for that era is just under...

Review Aerosmith - Done With Mirrors (1985)

Great writeup, Magic! yeah, a lot of what you say is dead on. It has way more in common with the 70's albums than what comes after it. To me, this is the last real Aerosmith album. I would say that I was generally pleasantly surprised with Pump as a follow of to permanent Vacation, but that's...

Five Favorite Albums Of Each Year

Night In The Ruts is by far my favorite Aerosmith album. First off, it's easily their heaviest album. There's just something...ferocious about it. It's really loose and it just oozes cool. IMO of course. The instrumental part in Think About It crushes me every time. In fact, in an interview...

Five Favorite Albums Of Each Year

I love Blackfoot. Siogo made my 1983 list! What a great band, and Strikes is an awesome album. I considered it but it just missed the cut. For a brief period in the mid 90's, I worked with David Robinson's brother.
