Santana Oye Como Va.. Grew up hearing allot of Santana and this song takes me back to junior high school day's..

It was the same old story.... a well trodden path by many before me, my lady at the time informed me she was pregnant - she was on the pill and both were careful, but according to her Doc "the meds she was on, weakened the dosage"
Both sets of parents waded in and pushed for a termination, I was 24- she was 19.
The writing was on the wall and things fizzled out fairly abruptly... Many cans of Tennants Super Strength were drunk and watched many a sunrise come up as I was going down.... this on cassette in a Mkll ford fiesta kinda helped with the fragments (I often wonder about things if they had have been different) still in 1983 things were fairly straight laced.
I seldom play this track..... but remember it and the times...

I first got into metal and rock when I was 15...Metallica's Black Album was the first metal band I really paid attention to and I love their song "Sad But True" the most, that song is still important to me today..

The logical move..On 7/23/80, I asked my first girlfriend out. She said yes. This was the song that popped up on my Sony Walkman.I did as suggested.

I turned 13 in Sept of 1981. MSG's On And On changed my whole outlook on music and opened up such a huge musical landscape for me, especially leading to my love for UFO.
I was blown away by Paul Raymond's fluttering keyboard flourishes in the chorus, and Michael's hypnotic and captivating outro solo. Every time this came on the radio, time stopped for me. Still gives me goosebumps today.

UFO feature heavily in most muso's life... It's just the vibe they have.... brilliant albums and songs! MSG carried that special ingredient also - good post.
I grew up in the 60's so most of my favorite oldies were on the radio as singles from 63-69.
We, my brother and I, did have some Beatles , Stones, Doors , etc early lps but it was mostly 45's then....we had several hundred ,,now I have maybe 50 or 60 left.
A few oldies that I still really like...I would play these over and over....
