Hello Everyone,

I’m new to Classic Rock Forums and just wanted to let everyone know that I recently published a blog of music theory as it relates to guitar playing (appropriately called “music theory and the guitar”) and thought some of you might find it useful.

The goal of the blog is to provide a frame of reference that will allow students to see the big picture of music so that they can more easily understand where the individual pieces fit.

If anyone is interested, it can be accessed at Blitzstar Guitar Blog.

Please let me know if you find it helpful. If you have any questions or anything you want to discuss, I’m here.

Hey Frank.. Took a couple of minutes to look over your blog and so far it is well written. Details and easy to understand instruction and illustrations were well thought out.

Great blog! I feel like you've focused on academic music and theory, and that's cool. Plus, I liked that the articles are generally written quite simply. I've been looking for such a blog about pro music from a pro for a long time, but so that I as a beginner could immediately get into it. Among the forums that also seemed convenient and useful to me is https://faqaudio.com/. Your blog has a lot of information about chords, music structure, harmony, and all that. And in the one I mentioned above, there's more about software, plugins, and other tools for those who create music. Both will be informative and useful for musicians. Thanks for sharing!
