I recall the song...Roxanne one day you're up, one day your down, Roxanne you really got me turned around. I know a few other phrases from the song but cannot find any mention on the internet. Will keep looking. Update: I caught up on the thread and see that Peter Foldy was the artist I was referencing and already identified by others. Good catch! I love this song.

I've given up convincing some guy at work that "The Cats in the Cradle" is Harry Chapin -- did Cat Stevens ever sing it? I found two You Tubes saying that, but it's Harry Chapin! The 2nd video was so wrong because it's got pictures of Cat Stevens in it. Idiots!!
Cat Stevens/Yusuf never recorded "Cats in the Cradle". The original recording by Harry Chapin was often miscredited to Stevens on filesharing sites in the 2000s.[1]Last.Fm

Yusuf did perform "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", a song made famous in the 60s by The Animals, I Don't blame him for performing it either because it's such a great song Musically and Lyrically, just a shame the Song Writer(s) are unknown.

It's the kind of song with a Gospel feel to it though, I noticed Nina Simone also performed it the same year as the Animals, which makes me wonder which is the original. Got the feeling Nina performed it 1st.
