I remember the first time I heard Amy...it was whilst in a video shop... Rehab come on and I stood there thinking what the HELL! At the time it sounded terrible but it was one of those songs that went round and round in my head after I left that shop.

That voice grew on me and I soon realized what a powerhouse of a voice she had!

So I guess first impressions don't always last huh.

Currently reading 'My Amy' by Tyler James and he states in the that Amy preferred 'black men'
Which got me thinking...maybe the term 'Back to Black' has two meanings....
1) she's feeling black (depressed)
2) she's lost faith in white men and going back to 'black men'
(ps this post is NOT INTENDED to be racist at all)

Been getting into Amy's catalog over the last year and found songs that I put on repeat. Soaking up that soulful voice of hers.

Hadn't been on here in a few years, and the very first video I posted was "Stronger Than Me" which was a song I just loved the vibe and played it over and over.

Sad enough that she fought with addition so bad that it took her. I seriously hated the negative abuse from the media mocking her so much.
